What is Church Membership?
Friendship Baptist Church is a New Testament church of the Lord Jesus Christ. We are an independent local congregation of baptized believers who are joined by shared agreement. We share in the same faith and fellowship of the gospel. We are a group of baptized believers guided by The Holy Word of God found in the Bible. We use the gifts, rights, and privileges given to us by His Word under the Lordship of Christ. Within our congregation, each member is responsible and accountable to Christ as Lord.
What Does Membership Look Like?
We believe that both men and women are given gifts by the Holy Spirit for service in the church. The office of pastor is limited to men that meet the qualifications found in Scripture. The New Testament describes the church as the Body of Christ.
Friendship Baptist Church has an Essentials class led by Associate Pastor Bill Eller that is offered multiple times during the year during the Sunday School hour. Pastor Bill prepares you to be a valuable part of the congregation. Contact us to sign up for the next Essentials class or to discuss further with Pastor Bill.
How Do I Become a Member of Friendship BaptistChurch?
1. Baptism: For persons who have been saved by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and desire to obey Christ by being scripturally baptized by immersion.
2. Letter from another Baptist Church: For persons who are saved, have been baptized by immersion after Salvation, and are members in good standing of another Baptist church which will transfer them by letter to Friendship Baptist Church (we will handle transfer of letter).
3. Statement of Faith: For persons who are saved and have been baptized by immersion after salvation but are not members of another Baptist church.
